DAUGHTERS OF PATIGI LGA IN HIGHER INSTITUTIONS OF LEARNING AWARD OF BURSARY BY AHMAN PATIGI FOUNDATION

Sequel to the earlier statement released on the above subject matter.
The bursary intended by the foundation is a welcome development and one of the greatest achievements of the foundation since is creation.

I am not condemning the development, but suggestion. "Education is the total efforts of a community to raise it social, economic and political standard of life." Education is the ability to read, write and perform some skills and become normally acceptable to one's society.

When you observe the above definition of education, you will discover that community   is benefited from those who are educated. Without quality education I don't think Patigi local government will find itself where it is today.

We have less privileges in the LGA who are willing to pursue/further their education but due to financial issues they end up roaming about the town.

Recently, Patigi Emirate Descendent Union (PEDU) hunted for volunteers who studied English Language to help teach students in secondary, but it was unfortunate that only few were found. A survey to our secondary schools will enable you discover that most of the English Language teachers did not study english but were given that responsibilities because of non availability of qualified personnels in that field.

I am appealing to the foundation to sponsor intending students that are willing to further their education in area of courses we lack professionals such as English, medicine, pharmacy, law and engineering.

This request is not applicable to the foundation alone is also involves the political class, the riches and nfluential people in the society.

Education is light and self reliance
