Edu LG Land Dispute Urges Harmonious Coexistence

The Coalition of Kwara North Groups (CKNG) calls on the conflicting communities in Lafiagi, Edu Local Government Area to live harmoniously with themselves. This was following the sad and disturbing news of the violence attacks between Edogi and Takogabi communities both in Lafiagi, Edu Local Government over a land dispute.

 CKNG wishes to appeal to the estranged communities who incidentally share the same culture and ethnic backgrounds, to embrace peace and sheath their swords over the needless and avoidable land disputes that has dragged since 2016 up to this moment.

Similarly, CKNG wishes to call on the elders and opinion leaders of these communities to accord the needed cooperation and support to the high-powered committee, comprising some political leaders from Kwara North, set up by the State Government in finding lasting solution to the problem.

 CKNG also uses this medium to encourage every community and groups in Kwara North to always toe the line of honour, by engaging in extensive dialogue and peaceful alternatives means of conflict resolutions, rather than resorting to violence that may lead to loss of lives and properties.
